Solid Waste Management Planning including the development of full Plans and Plan amendments. For over 15 years Cameron oversaw the RDOS Solid Waste Management Plan including a full revision and 3 amendments. This included the development and implementation of complex consultation campaigns. He provided feedback on the 2016 Guide to Solid Waste Management Planning and the required provisions.
Public Consultation including moderating and presenting on contentious local government projects. Cameron has developed newsletters, websites, videos and social media campaigns for siting of compost sites, development of transfer stations and new curbside collection programs.
Business Case Development of new services including recycling infrastructure, changes to curbside collection and changes to Landfill operations.
Education Campaigns for curbside collection, waste reduction, Wildsafe BC (formerly Bear Smart) and water conservation. Experience developing signage, mailouts, print ads, social media and web portals.
Implementation of New Collection Programs for both urban and rural communities. Working at the RDOS Cameron helped implement new programs for several rural communities including very rural areas and a ski hill. He also coordinated rural and urban procurement of collection services including analyzing the cost and benefits of cart based collection.
Grant Writing for Provincial, Federal and associated funding bodies such as FCM and UBCM.
Bylaw Development including Service Establishment, Regulatory, Fees & Charges and Bylaw Enforcement.
Procurement Management including stakeholder review, expressions of interest development and request for proposal development.
